Swash Labs is seeking an organized and highly adaptable Media Associate to provide complex, high level delivery of integrated media plans. This position will be interacting with both internal and external contacts utilizing exceptional interpersonal skills while managing a high volume of varied, detail-oriented duties. 

As our Media Associate you will be responsible for assisting with the completion of successful campaign launches, maintenance, reporting, and digital audit and implementation to ensure that our projects are delivered on time with desired results. You will need a proven track record with the mindset to embrace the ever-changing landscape of digital media.

The Media & Planning Department is responsible for managing campaigns, media buying and budgeting, and media planning. 

Quantitative and qualitative creative strengths are both important in this role. 

This position reports to Director, Media & Planning.

A successful Media Associate will:

  • Foster a good working relationship across the agency with Account and Creative teams and with client points of contact

  • Effectively manage own workload and work with Teamwork (our project management software) and the Media & Planning Director to set priorities and drive projects to timely completion

  • Build relationships and confidence with client at appropriate level, and attend relevant client meetings

  • Maintain a working knowledge of digital publishing and media buying platforms

  • Assist with Reporting and Analysis

  • Maintain and expand upon custom agency procedures for Ad Management

  • Experiment and perform Research within the bounds of best practices and current client objectives  

  • Become certified in Google Ads, completing a minimum of three AdWords certification exams during the first year of employment

  • Become proficient in web crawler tools (Moz, Raven, Screaming Frog and other platforms as implemented in the shop)

  • Support best practices for digital media buying and contribute to the evolution/development of best practices as Swash Labs continues to develop its Media practice

Education/Training/Experience:

  • Strong computer applications skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Javascript and/or SQL experience required

  •  db/git experience preferred

  • Understanding of design principals preferred

  • Experience with or understanding of common digital advertising platforms, writing and executing media plans, planning and buying

  • Excellent data management and analytical skills

  • High competency in statistical and mathematical reasoning

  • Ability to work independently and with a team

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent

  • Proactive, detail oriented; ability to prioritize and complete a large volume of work quickly

  • Passionate about the internet
