Digital Risk Resources for Activists

The past few weeks have seen a huge increase in activism, protests, and demonstrations against police brutality and systemic racism in the United States.

Swash Labs condemns all acts of discrimination, racism, and oppression, and we stand in solidarity with all who act to bring about a more just and equal world.

The stories of the movement are being told from within it, and that’s as it should be. As more and more activists and organizers take to the streets, the airwaves, and social media to assert the absolute truth that Black Lives Matter, those who seek to further the cause of white supremacy engage in disinformation campaigns and targeted digital harassment.

To offset the efforts of those malicious actors, we’ve prepared some resources for activists and organizers about how to increase personal digital security awareness, how to mitigate digital risk, and how to spot propaganda and disinformation. You’ll find them below — we hope they are helpful.

Keep up the good fight. Black Lives Matter.
