Design Case Study: Estaville Law
Alice Estaville, owner of Estaville Law, is an attorney serving Greater Los Angeles and Orange County. Her practice focuses on immigration law, civil and business litigation, landlord tenant law, and transactional services for businesses. Mrs. Estaville is a strong advocate for immigrant rights and provides pro bono services for qualifying immigrants.
The Challenge
Mrs. Estaville approached Swash Labs looking to establish a new brand identity for Estaville Law that could be applied to digital platforms and printed materials. She wanted her brand to stand out from other law offices, noting, “I don’t want the typical attorney color scheme of maroon and navy blue.” Swash Labs was tasked with the challenge of creating a brand that is approachable and friendly, while still emphasizing the company’s trustworthiness and professionalism.
The Process
During our client onboarding process, we worked with Mrs. Estaville to determine the design styles she preferred. We discovered that she disliked script typefaces or anything that looked too “chunky,” and was drawn to clean, modern designs. She indicated she was seeking a more feminine color palette, which is a unique look in the industry.
With this information, our Art Director developed mock-ups for an Estaville Law logo. We provided design samples for Mrs. Estaville to review, including the following:
